Welcome to VMV 2011
Welcome to the Vision, Modeling and Visualization Workshop 2011, in cooperation with Eurographics Association.
The workshop is a unique event that brings together scientists and people interested in the interdisciplinary fields of computer vision and computer graphics, with special emphasis on the link between the disciplines.
This year's workshop has been held on October 4th–6th 2011 at the Fraunhofer‑Forum in the heart of Berlin Mitte, next to the Museum Island and Berlin Cathedral.
VMV 2011 was co‑located with INFORMATIK 2011 – 41. Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft für Informatik.
Next Year's VMV
VMV 2012 will be held in Magdeburg on November 12th–14th 2012.

Best Paper Awards
The best paper award of the 16th International Workshop on Vision, Modeling and Visualization has been presented to Patrick Mücke, Ronny Klowsky, and Michael Goesele for their paper "Surface Reconstruction from Multi-resolution Sample Points".
The 2nd place best paper award has been presented to Claudia Kuster, Tiberiu Popa, Christopher Zach, Craig Gotsman, Markus Gross for their paper "FreeCam: A Hybrid Camera System for Interactive Free-Viewpoint Video".
